Had the pleasure to receive this nice module in the mail a few days ago.
My main use case for this module was going to be playing chords via MIDI using the vector sequencer. Unfortunately I am having trouble getting any notes to play through the midi in whatsoever.
I recorded myself showing the midi related issue here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V404gecE9nk
Hoping that I am just missing something, thanks.
FYI I found this after wondering why midi wasn't working, and learned there are type A and type B midi TRS (Hey, at least it ain't USB).
The blue midi din-5 to TRS cable works (my other two midi din-5 to TRS are apparently type B).
I soldered two 3.5mm male wires together and swapped the tip/ring, which also works.
But yes, definitely worth noting there are two types of DIN-5 -to-TRS.
Glad to hear you’re up and running. Your video was key to finding a quick solution.
The Vector and mmMidi use type B trs connectors. The Poly Cinematic uses type A so plugging a trs to trs cable from the Vector won’t work. Instead you should connect a type B to 5 pin din breakout to the Vector and use the blue trs midi cable that came with the Poly Cinematic.
